GAIA 20:30 Biodiversity Campaign

Protecting Global Biodiversity Campaign

Eco-schools Qatar is inviting all Green Flag and registered Eco-schools in Qatar, teachers and students to join FEE network with over 100 member organisations in over 79 countries, to disseminate Eco-schools principles and encourage communities to take an active part in supporting and saving our natural environment.

From September 2021 - June 2022.

The Campaign Objectives are:

- Mobilise action on GAIA 20:30 Biodiversity goals;
- Raise awareness on biodiversity issues;
- Collect, co-create and disseminate resources on biodiversity

The campaign has many stages and it starts with :

Biodiversity Quiz

The GAIA 20:30 Biodiversity Campaign kicks off with a quiz, aiming to raise awareness of the campaign, and create curiosity around different biodiversity subjects, e.g., invasive species, pollinators, trees and the natural environment.

Lesson Plan Competition

The GAIA 20:30 Biodiversity Lesson Plan Competition invites Eco-Schools, LEAF and YRE teachers to develop lesson plans to promote active learning around the topic biodiversity. It is developed to encourage teachers to educate their students about the environment they live in and how to protect it.
